How should we worship God? 

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.  God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.  John 4:23

Why sing choruses as well as hymns?

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord.  Ephesians 5:18,19

Why do we stand to sing?

Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites and of the children Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Isreal with voices loud and high.  2 Chronicles 20:19

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" Revelations 7:9-10

Why do we audibly praise unto God?

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!  Psalm 103:1

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.  Hebrews 13:15

Why do we lift our hands?

Thus I will bless You while I live, I will lift up my hands in your name.  Psalm 63:4

Therefore I desire that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.  1 Timothy 2:8

Why do we clap our hands?

Oh, clap your hands, all you people!  Shout unto God with the voice of triumph!  Psalm 47 :1

 

Why does the church pray at one time for specific needs?

So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said, "Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them..."  Acts 4:24

Why do we have speaking in tongues and their interpretation in the church?

Therefore, brethren, desire earnstly to prophesy, and do not forbid  to speak with tongues.  1 Corinthians 14:39

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all; for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:7-10

What is prophecy?  Why do we prophesy?

But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.  He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.  1 Corinthians 14: 3,4

Why do we receive tithes and offerings?

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now in this," says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such a blessing that there will not be room enough to recieve it."  Malachi 3:10

"Give, and it will be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom.  For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."  Luke 6:38
